Diversity in religions, diversity in cultures and diversity in languages are the identity of Nepal. These diversities have made our country the most amazing and the wonderful country throughout the world. These diversities were the reason our country was taken as an example of cooperation and peaceful nation. People never fought for the religion, never underestimated any other cultures. But today, these diversities have made our land ungoverned and chaotic. Once a heaven has turned into dreadful land. Nepalese have been fighting for declaring it as a Secular state or Hindu state.
Just to know the views of our students, this time we had given topic related to today’s burning concern. “Should Nepal be a secular state or Hindu state?” was the debate topic. There were six students speaking for and against the debate topic. The participants were:

ASHISH SUBEDI SPEAKING IN FAVOR OF THE TOPIC

Nikita Gautam was called to speak on the against of the topic. She had to support the point “Nepal should be declared as the Hindu state.” 84% of the total population are Hindu in Nepal. Then where is the problem to declare Nepal as the Hindu State. Her point was convincing and she was right. Nepal consists of more Hindu people. So, it shouldn’t be a reason to fight over.

BINOD ARYAL SPEAKING IN FAVOR OF THE TOPIC

Binod Aryal spoke for the topic. He said, “Either people may be Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist or Christian, they are Nepali. That is the greatest truth. So, all Nepalese should be treated with the same respect and country should be identified by the diversity not only a Hindu state.” He attracted the audience and made the program really exciting.

ABHISEKH KHATIWODA SPEAKING ON FAVOR OF THE TOPIC

Abhisekh Khatiwoda. He was speaking for the topic “Nepal should be a secular state.” We Nepalese are dying to say Buddha was born in Nepal then why are we fighting for making Nepal a Hindu state? He asked this question to everyone. Exactly, Buddha was the creator of Buddhist religion not Hindu. If we love the fact that Buddha was born in Nepal, why we hate calling Nepal a secular country rather than a Hindu state? His point was appreciated by everyone. — at Deerwalk Institute of Technology.

BHISAN BHANDARI SPEAKING ON AGAINST THE TOPIC

Then Bhisan Bhandari was welcomed to speak against the topic and challenge his opponent friends. He just said a single point which was strong enough to convince everyone. “Nepal is only the Hindu state whole over the world. There is no harm to identify Nepal as a unique identity ‘Hindu State’. “, he said. Having this identity will make the Nepal unique whole over the world. So, this is not a bad thing.

Binod Aryal secured the first position in this session. While, Nikita Gautam got second position.
