Unfriended

1st August, 2015

Genre: Horror

Running time: 90 min

This movie is about a group of friends being haunted by one of their friends, Laura Barnes who had earlier killed herself. The movie’s setting (a computer desktop) takes places on the computer screen of Blaire, a high school student who is chatting with her other friends. It is the one-year anniversary of the death of a friend, Laura Barnes who committed suicide over an embarrassing video on Facebook. The set of kids continue to talk about this. Things get weird when they notice that another person (unknown) has joined their conversation who eventually turns out to be their dead friend chatting with them online.

The movie is exciting because we can relate to being on our computer on Skype and Facebook a lot. From a social media point of view I thought this film was very well done. The actors were brilliant with their roles and the overall atmosphere of the movie was creepy and scary. All the right ingredients for a scary movie.

Popcorns and cold drinks were served to the audience as always and everyone seemed to enjoy the movie a lot.
