Spare Parts

14th August, 2015

Genre: Drama

Running time: 1 hr 23 min

Spare Parts is the movie directed by Sean McNamara and the script is written by Elissa Matsueda. This is somehow inspired by La Vida Robot by Joshua Davis.  Spare parts is a true life story about four panicked high school students who form a robotics club with the leadership of their school’s new teacher. Without having any prior experience and little amount of money they manage to participate and even won the underwater robotics championship in MIT. Overall the movie is fine to watch as it explains the story of underdogs which is predictable but shown in a very clearly defined and sweet way. The movie is composed of emotions too somewhere which makes the movie cherry in the cake. Spare parts mostly focus on the team building work, which I think is one of the best lessons that can be learned by today’s youth. We can also encounter some funny scenes. The new teacher played by George Lopez’s reactions makes the movie hilarious and funny.

In overall the movie is not a surprise package for those who are expecting for something new but for those audiences who love to watch familiar action comparing themselves in story character is worthy to watch.Popcorns and cold drinks were served to the audience as always and everyone seemed to enjoy the movie a lot.
